Perhaps you’ve moved house, renovated or added an extension, and don’t know where to begin to furnish the space. Have you bought a generic new build? I can help to inject character and personality into you home. I’m also a great mediator when partners have reached a stalemate and have very differing tastes. Maybe, you’re just too busy with both work and family life, not having the time or the inclination.

At IN, I’m here to use my experience and expertise to take both the fear and apprehension out of the design process. Whatever your needs, big or small, I can offer suggestions that enable a room by room plan, whole house plan or DIY plans for you to complete yourself. What to expect from the process...

INITIAL DESIGN CONSULTATION

I will make a visit to your home, lasting approximately 1hr. This is a great opportunity for me to meet with you, listen to your needs and wants, get a feel for your existing, personal style, lifestyle and aspirations, examine the spaces that require work, take photos, discuss your budget and briefly recommend improvements that you may not have considered. This meeting allows me to build a picture of the project so I can go away and draft an estimate of how long I anticipate the project will take.

SOURCING

I source furniture, lighting, accessories, soft furnishings etc. from both the high-street and online to recreate the chosen look in line with your budget. I will communicate these finds regularly via platforms such as WhatsApp. We can also make shopping trips together, to assist in all aspects of the project, whether this be bathroom showrooms, furniture stores, whatever is required. Ultimately, it will be you who makes the purchases, there will be no added pressure from me. You hold the buying power, so if for example you wish to purchase a sofa, you can do so on your own terms in regards to financing, delivery etc. Site visits will occur as required, to both oversee work and track progress.

ESTIMATE

Based on the initial consultation, I prepare a detailed estimate that outlines the scope of work and includes an estimated fee as a guide to the costs involved in order to meet your requirements. You can then decide if you wish to take the project forward.

STYLING

Finally styling a space is key to finalising the overall look and project. I can source, on your behalf, accessories, artwork and personal artefacts for your project. This final step, finessing the project, is often where people struggle or fall short. Let me help you add those last bits of sparkle.

LAUNCHING THE PROJECT

Once a commitment has been made, work will begin on the design project. I’ll make further site visits for more detailed measurements and create a personal and private, Pinterest board for your project. Think of this as a living, breathing, evolving, moodboard. It is an amazing platform that I use for sharing ideas, colour schemes, styles etc. and a great way to narrow down personal preferences. Once we agree on a look and feel for your space, I’ll make further recommendations on space planning, furniture lay-outs, paint selections, flooring, window dressings, lighting etc., supplying samples where required.

RESULT

What you're left with is a space that finally feels like your own. A home that you can be proud to show off to friends and family alike!

Additional mileage charge of 45p/mile for journeys outside of a 20mile radius.

CHARGED AT A RATE OF

Hours are tracked and documented using a clock in/out application, a breakdown of which is available on request.

I have no specific affiliations with tradesmen or retailers. Any recommendations offered, will be based on personal experience. At all times the client is free to access and use any tradesmen they wish.

I pass all trade discounts directly onto my clients. Unlike many other interior designers, I never mark up the prices of the furniture or decor that I recommend.

Permission will be sought prior to using or distributing images in relation to the design project. These images will only ever be utilised to highlight the design skill and ultimately promote Interiors by Nicole as a business.
